Mark's conscious use of verbal language and his format for training allows for a unique bond and friendship to form with horses that make them more like a trusted friend than a horse. Mark's horses truly love to interact with people and are always seeking ways to engage and please them.

Imagine... if someone could show you how to speak to your horses and have them be more tuned in and listening to you at ALL times. Not only will this type of training give you a stronger friendship with your horse, but will translate into MUCH better and gentler control while riding. What you will really be doing is increasing their vocabulary, allowing them to understand you at all times. For example, your horse grabs the handle of the manure fork. Because he now understands verbal commands you add the words "get that" and then praise him. The horse understands that he has done something good and wants to do it again. Horses love performing to get their praise.

How many of you would like to take your own horse and explore this nation's great backcountry wilderness areas? Now, how many of you don't think you or your horse have the skills to do so safely? Now you can!

Mark Peterson has been a wildlife behaviorist and wildlife tracker for many popular TV shows. From horseback, Mark has guided scientists, biologists, TV/Film crews and photographers safely through some of the roughest terrain this country has to offer. Through the years Mark has learned what specific skills people and horses need to know to safely traverse any kind of terrain that may "accidentally" come your way on the trail.

In this two day course you will learn a number of very simple skills for you and your horse to keep you safe in any situation you may encounter on the trail. These skills will be taught to you and your horse in an arena first to assure your safety and success. On day two you will be led by Mark through the trails where you'll get to practice what you've learned as you go along with the help of Mark. When you're done with the two day course you'll have the confidence to ride anywhere you want, knowing you can handle or avoid any of nature’s diverse landscapes.

The last part of the clinic will deal with Horse Camping. Mark will show you how to High Line your horse easily and safely anywhere you go, along with many other pointers to make spending the weekend with your horse safe and enjoyable.

Lastly, once you've completed the clinic, you'll have the option to be invited to a fully guided horseback wilderness photo ride with Mark. Mark will take the group to a given wilderness and lead them to some of the indigenous wildlife in the area. What greater experience could you hope to have for you and your horse; a guided excursion into a remote wilderness accompanied by a wildlife behaviorist and tracker, traversing nature’s obstacles with confidence and ease, sighting all varieties of wildlife from the back of your trusted horse.
